Mold In Ducts

April 30, 2024/in Air Quality

Tackling a Tough Mold Problem in Home Ductwork

A homeowner reached out to us with a serious mold issue in their ductwork. They had already consulted a mold specialist, who found that the problem was too big for regular cleaning methods.

What We Found

When we arrived to check things out, we noticed:

  • The ducts were made of PVC and built into the concrete slab
  • Our special cameras showed mold throughout the entire duct system
  • PVC ducts are prone to condensation, which likely caused the mold to grow

Our Solution: Duct Armor

To fix this tricky problem, we used our special Duct Armor product. This innovative solution:

  • Traps existing mold
  • Creates a surface that resists future mold growth
  • Helps prevent condensation inside the ducts

A New Partnership

While we often work with Green Home Solutions, this was our first time teaming up with this particular mold company. It shows that more specialists are recognizing our unique skills in handling tough HVAC mold problems.

The Result

By using Duct Armor, we not only solved the immediate mold issue but also improved the long-term health and performance of the home’s duct system. This case highlights our ability to provide lasting solutions for complex indoor air quality challenges, especially when standard cleaning just isn’t enough

What Our Customers Are Saying

I use duct armor of Central Indiana to seal my under the floor ducts because there was water seeping through caused by the high water table in the area. They did everything efficiently and I felt for a fair price. Both Josh and Ben came out and when they left, the job was clean. I’m super pleased with the way everything was done! I will be definitely using them again in the future. I highly recommend their services.
